General Description:
The Director of Arena Marketing is responsible for marketing all concerts, events and shows held at the Toyota Center. This position will develop and execute creative strategies to promote all arena events, working within established budgets and collaborating with promoters when needed.

The Director of Arena Marketing is responsible for marketing all concerts, events and shows held at the Toyota Center. This position will develop and execute creative strategies to promote all arena events, working within established budgets and collaborating with promoters when needed.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Creation and implementation of advertising and promotional campaigns for the facility, non-tenant, and third-party events to reach established sales and revenue goals.
- Coordinate with Rockets marketing department in leveraging team assets, resources and all external relations to support promotional efforts for all Toyota Center events.
- Development and coordination of creative and strategic grassroots campaigns for non-tenant and third-party events, developing and leaning on strong community relationships as needed.
- Development and coordination of public relations campaigns including building media relationships, booking interviews and appearances for media days, constructing press releases, etc.
- Conceptualize and execute meaningful welcome experiences/gifts for artists to be presented on event days.
- Incorporate Group Sales assets into marketing campaigns when applicable.
- Handle advertising placement in all media formats for third party events including radio, television, digital, social media, print, etc. This includes being responsible for communicating and meeting deadlines and working with promoters and media clients to receive/deliver artwork, radio and tv spots.
- Handle all promoter and client marketing needs from event announcement to show execution as well as oversee Toyota Center brand including use of logo and content of website and social media accounts.
- Post relevant content about artists, events and ticket information on all major social platforms while measuring effectiveness of engagement and interactions.
- Work with media partners to deliver added value and strategically use trade and complimentary tickets for event promotion.
- Manage the use of all in arena marketing assets, marquee, and concourse and in bowl advertising. Will require working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop.
- Work with Marketing Manager to assist in maintenance of toyotacenter.com and request ticket sales campaigns for email marketing.
- Assist on event day with any media or advertiser related tasks, including escorting credentialed media and photographers.
- Track all event related expenses, gathering invoices and proof of placement throughout the process for settlement with event organizers.
- Provide guidance when needed in interactions with part-time event staff.
- Perform various other duties as may be assigned by the Vice President, Booking & Event Operations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS/BA in a related field.
- Minimum seven years of event related marketing experience, preferably in the entertainment industry.
- Experience or exposure to media/advertising purchasing/implementation and sponsorship development.
- Experience in negotiating and purchasing media content - print, radio, digital, social media and television
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative suite, specifically Adobe Photoshop
- Able to multi-task with proven ability to work well under pressure
- Skilled relationship builder.
- Good communication skills/organized; problem solver; detail oriented
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities for assigned staff in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. - The employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, use handle or feel, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, communicate with others.
- The vision requirement includes the ability to review written and electronic materials in both digital and physical format.
- The employee must be able to transfer and move items for departmental needs.
- The employee must be able to adjust to changing work hours and locations as needed in light of the strong focus on external communications and relationships.
