Your Opportunity
As an Electrical/ICT Designer, you will provide integrated engineering solutions to institutional, industrial, residential, and commercial clients with a focus on transit, telecom, waste management, higher education and food/beverage facilities that require reliable and cost-effective infrastructure for both new and retrofit solutions. The combined skills of our engineers, technicians, and support personnel with diverse backgrounds in design and construction provide clients with a team recognized as leaders in the field.

Post-secondary education in electrical engineering technology or related discipline
Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
Certifications in the industry are an asset: RCDD, CTS, PSP, PMP
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (electronics, electrical, IT) is an asset
P.Eng. or L.E.L. is an asset
Consulting background is an asset
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

Your Opportunity
As an Electrical/ICT Designer, you will provide integrated engineering solutions to institutional, industrial, residential, and commercial clients with a focus on transit, telecom, waste management, higher education and food/beverage facilities that require reliable and cost-effective infrastructure for both new and retrofit solutions. The combined skills of our engineers, technicians, and support personnel with diverse backgrounds in design and construction provide clients with a team recognized as leaders in the field.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Provide expertise to advance the designs for projects that include but are not limited to telecommunications, electronic security, audiovisual systems, and related technologies
- Complete condition assessments, entailing field investigation of electrical/ICT equipment condition, code compliance, and recommendations for upgrading to improve performance, efficiency, and/or operations
- Perform physical security and telecommunications systems audits, targeting improvement in operational efficiency and facility safety
- Execute feasibility/preliminary engineering studies to formulate, determine and evaluate design criteria for engineering work, and to develop options for attaining the functionality required by the client
- Perform detailed design work, including calculations, drawings, specifications, and contract documents for projects in the areas of structured cabling and pathways, intelligent buildings, digital lighting, access control, CCTV, intercoms, public address, power metering, Audio/Video and work with converged networks for smart buildings integration
- Provide field review services during construction, entailing review of shop drawings, preparation of site instructions, change notices, and inspections
- Liaise/coordinate with clients, contractors, and authorities
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- General interest in construction and, in particular, in electrical/ICT and security systems
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail, specifically in the accuracy of calculations and completeness of data
- Demonstrated effectiveness working in a multi-discipline team
- Working experience with AutoCAD, Visio, and Microsoft Office programs
- Knowledge of Revit is an asset
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
