Our ideal candidate is an experienced High-Tech/technology and payments lawyer. As a commercial lawyer, you will be working on a wide variety of commercial contracts, including services agreements and vendor agreements, privacy issues and payments matters, as well as other general corporate law advice.

We are seeking a Director of Legal Affairs, U.S to join our growing Legal team.
Our ideal candidate is an experienced High-Tech/technology and payments lawyer. As a commercial lawyer, you will be working on a wide variety of commercial contracts, including services agreements and vendor agreements, privacy issues and payments matters, as well as other general corporate law advice.
You will:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of legal contracts with clients, partners, vendors, and third parties (services agreements, NDAs, DPAs, SaaS agreements).
- Act as a site manager for the US legal team.
- Advise on payments laws and work closely with the product and payments teams to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and payments licenses.
- Keep up to date and analyze global privacy regulations to ensure continued alignment of the company's products and data processing to such regulations.
- Interact and work with the company's departments (sales, product, marketing, finance) on diverse legal issues.
- Perform and provide other general corporate law advice as needed.
Requirements
- A New York licensed attorney with 5+ years experience as in-house counsel for a Hi-Tech/Fintech company or prominent law firm.
- Proven legal experience in the field of payments and privacy.
- Fluent English (written and oral).
- Attention to detail.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Multi tasker, self-motivated and persistent.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
