Job Title: Human Resource Manager
Reports To: Business Manager


Saco School Department is seeking a Human Resource Manager to work collaboratively with the district leadership team and staff to develop systems to improve the district's culture and quality of work life. This position will also provide management and direction for all human resources activities for the Saco School Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate HR policies and programs
  • Coordination of employee benefits including, health, dental, flexible spending, life insurance, LTD, FMLA, and retirement plans
  • Provide guidance on personnel management and ensure compliance with employment laws.
  • Manage hiring, orientation, and benefits programs.
  • Oversee risk management, workers' compensation, and safety protocols.
  • Foster positive employee relations and support conflict resolution.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; SHRM/PHR certification preferred.
  • 5+ years of HR experience or relevant combination of training and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
