The Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System is seeking a dedicated and experienced Pathologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a Board-Certified Anatomic and Clinical Pathologist with a strong commitment to providing high-quality healthcare to our veterans. Hematology or molecular pathology experience is preferred. Join us in Little Rock, a vibrant city in central Arkansas known for its rich history, cultural attractions, and natural beauty.
Requirements:
- Must be board-certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology
- Current, full, and unrestricted medical license in any U.S. State or Territory
Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic evaluation of surgical pathology and cytology specimens in rotation with 5 other pathologists.
- Interpret and report laboratory results for various tests and procedures.
- Participate in prospective peer review and retrospective review of 10% cases when needed.
- Participate in quality assurance and improvement activities within the pathology department.
- Provide consultation services to other healthcare providers and departments as needed.
- Supervise and mentor medical technologists, residents, and fellows.
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
