Lab Analyst

Job Title: Lab AnalystJob Description Issue, execute, and ensure timely closure of compliance events, including Deviation, CAPA, and NCMRs. Provide support to the Quality department in performing trend analysis, information gathering, and related activities. Conduct in-process bulk testing, approval, and release. Manage adjustments of in-process bulk and bulk retains. Release and generate a certificate of Analysis for bulk. Assist in post-market stability studies. Perform calibration of pH meter and verification of weighing scale. Prepare a report for accounting of all samples sent to outside labs for microbial and analytical testing. Maintain an awareness of cGMP, Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), good housekeeping, and safety in the laboratory. Communicate any discrepancies and OOSs to the Quality Control Manager, assist with and/or issue OOS investigations and deviations, and issue non-conformance material reports (NCMR) per the established SOP. Review and maintain batch records/documentation in accordance with internal procedures. Maintain inventory of lab supplies. Essential Skills Chemistry HPLC Quality Control Personal Care/OTC Products Analytical Chemistry cGMP Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) Additional Skills & Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of lab experience in quality BS Degree in science-related field Basic algebra and statistics Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Quality Control/Assurance knowledge in a cGMP environment is required Work Environment They will be working in a laboratory environment. The work schedule is Monday to Friday with two open slots: 10am-6:30pm and 12:00pm-8:30pm, with some overtime and weekends as needed. Office equipment includes computer, keyboard, copier, and fax machine. Laboratory equipment includes weighing scale, pH meter, viscometer, FT-IR, pycnometer, and luminometer.
