About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice Chancellor for Business and Finance and Chief Financial Officer to provide strategic leadership in a range of critical areas. The successful candidate will be responsible for fiscal and financial analysis, management of the university budget, facilities and capital planning, and risk and financial oversight to ensure the institution's financial health. This role involves working closely with the senior leadership team, including the Chancellor, and requires extensive knowledge and experience in accounting, budgeting, business operations, investments, and financial planning. The Vice Chancellor will also be tasked with interpreting and ensuring compliance with financial legislation and must have a strong understanding of technology as it relates to financial management systems. Applicants for the Vice Chancellor for Business and Finance and Chief Financial Officer position at the company must have a Master's degree or CPA with a minimum of 7 years' leadership experience in finance and strategic resource management. A Bachelor's degree in a related discipline is also required. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in strategic and operational leadership, particularly in the areas of strategic planning, capital projects, and budget management, preferably within higher education or a government entity. Strong leadership skills, a commitment to fiduciary responsibility, and expertise in communication and stakeholder engagement are essential. Additionally, a solid understanding of accounting principles and knowledge of the State's laws and regulations governing higher education are highly valued.
