Responsibilities
NORTON CHILDRENS RHEUMATOLOGY, affiliated with the UofL School of Medicine, is seeking a leader to serve as Division Chief of Pediatric Rheumatology for University of Louisville School of Medicine Department of Pediatrics and Section Chief of Pediatric Rheumatology for Norton Childrens. This leadership position is integral to advancing pediatric rheumatology care, education, and research within our institution.
About Norton Childrens Rheumatology
- Three pediatric rheumatologists on staff
- Clinical staff with more than two decades of experience
- Provides care to patient populations from Kentucky, Indiana, Tennessee and Southern Illinois who represent a variety of cultures
- Utilizes advanced technologies, including a new MSK Ultrasound machine
- Developing a multi-disciplinary lupus clinic in conjunction with our Hepatology and Nephrology
- Works collaboratively with pain psychology with pediatric behavioral and mental health, neuro immunology and our growing pediatric gastroenterology team
About UofL School of Medicine Division of Pediatric Rheumatology
- Works collaboratively with Adult Rheumatology and the Internal Medicine Fellowship program
- Clinical research support staff who assists with grant contracting and construction
- Engages in the education of future pediatricians and a program with 72 categorical pediatric residents, 15 child neurology residents and 20 Med/Peds residents and 35 Fellows
- Active with the Childhood Arthritis and Rheumatology Research Alliance (CARRA) and Pediatric Rheumatology Collaborative Study Group (PRCSG)

- Residency/fellowship certification
- Kentucky medical license or license eligible
