As a Business Analyst you will be responsible for analyzing, translating and communicating the business needs of our clients. You will work primarily as the engagement point between business groups and the solutions delivery teams that service their needs. You will be responsible for synthesizing ideas and designs into a coherent solution that involves people, process, and technology.
The ideal candidate for this job has worked in a variety of project related roles, and is very comfortable with the scoping and requirements definition phases during the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). They are self motivated, articulate, and would consider themselves highly capable of communicating with both software developers and business minded leadership.

Core responsibilities for this position include:
- Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business and workflow analysis
- Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, de-compose high-level information into details along with the ability to use the detail to gain an understanding of the end to end solution. Most important is the ability to distinguish critical vs. non-critical user requests from their underlying true needs
- Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed: functional requirements, business requirements document, use cases, GUI, screen and interface designs
- Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group: executives, managers, subject matter experts, and software developers
Skills expected of from all project related positions:
- Proficient with MS Project, MS Excel, MS Word
- Excellent organizational, presentation, analytical, written and verbal communication
- Understanding and experience with the Software Development Life Cycle
- Ability to be flexible and juggle multiple projects in a fast paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to identify business and technical impacts of user requirements and incorporate them into project plan
- Demonstrated ability to drive projects to timely completion
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work under pressure and to independently handle multiple projects and deadlines
Skills & Requirements
- 2+ years business analyst experience
- 2+ years of consulting experience, preferably at a "Big 4" or similar firm
- An undergraduate degree in technology or business
- Effective at communicating technical issues to non-technical users
- Experience writing BRD's, functional specifications, and use cases
- Experience with all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with detailed experience in the following phases: scope/requirements, design and test. Experience with Agile SDLC projects a plus
- Strong ability to manage client expectations
