HS Clinical or Clinical X SeriesThe Department of Pediatrics at the University of California, San Francisco, is recruiting a board-certified neonatologist. Appointments will be made at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor ranks within the Health Sciences (HS) Clinical or Clinical X faculty series. The academic rank will be commensurate with experience.Position Overview
The selected candidate will provide neonatal clinical service in the Community Level III nursery at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center (ZSFG), a University-affiliated public teaching hospital.The successful candidate will join our team of dedicated professionals in the Division of Pediatrics at ZSFG. Our dynamic group comprises 40 faculty members who are passionately committed to health equity, scholarly pursuits, exceptional patient care, and the highest standards of medical education.Primary ResponsibilitiesClinical Services: Provide clinical services in the Infant Care Center at ZSFG, a Level III community nursery. This includes weekend coverage and evening/overnight home call.Teaching and Mentoring: Teach and mentor a variety of learners, including UCSF medical students, residents in family and community medicine and pediatrics, and pediatric chief residents.Quality Improvement and Academic Activities: Engage in quality improvement activities, serve on medical staff and university committees, and participate in other academic activities.Minimum QualificationsMedical degree and licenseBoard certification or eligibility in Neonatal-Perinatal MedicineNRP certificationProven experience working independently in neonatal ICU settingsDemonstrated commitment to urban underserved pediatric patientsProven abilities in collaborative teamworkExperience supervising residents and medical students in a clinical settingPreferred QualificationsProficiency in bilingualism, particularly SpanishExperience in caring for families facing significant social challenges Become a vital part of our commitment to excellence in pediatric care. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5. The minimum base salary range for this position is $121,100-$320,100. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation. For positions that are 50% effort or less:
