Join our team!DescriptionOur observability solutions employ a variety of systems and services. We use existing and open-source systems when possible, but do not shy away from building new solutions ourselves. In this role, you will collaborate with a team of engineers to lead the design and development of observability solutions for AIML products and infrastructure. You will be responsible for providing technical guidance, sharing observability know-how, leveraging AI pipelines and mentoring the team to develop and deliver best-of-class solutions.Key Qualifications7+ years engineering experience and strong background in computer science: distributed systems, algorithms and data structures, APIs and highly-scalable, reliable systems and microservicesStrong coding skills in Go, Java, C/C++ or RustDemonstrated proficiency in AWS services such as EKS / Kubernetes, Amazon S3, networking, database and monitoring servicesProven experience in delivering very large-scale cloud-native distributed systems and platform infrastructureExcellent communication skills both oral and writtenExcellent interpersonal skills for collaborating across teams, stakeholders, and open source collaboratorsBonus if you have experience with:Cloud infrastructure service provider, or an extensive “private cloud” environmentTime-series based observability systems, distributed tracing, logging and profiling at scale and telemetry data collection frameworksLarge-scale alert management and notification systemsMachine learning and NLP algorithms, LLMs, AIOpsActive open source project contributionsEducation & ExperienceB.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.Additional RequirementsApple’s most important resource, our soul, is our people. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 and $312,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
