What You Will Get To Do:
Oversee Fund Administration Services:
- Preparing and reviewing annual and semi-annual financial statement
- Preparing or assisting with the preparation of SEC regulatory filings such as N-CSR, N-CEN, N-PORT, N-1A, N-14, N-2, N-MFP and 24F-2
- Hosting and coordinating annual audits
- Preparing and reviewing Board Reporting
- Monitoring fund expense ratios
- Maintaining budgets versus actual expenses
- Managing fund invoice approval and bill payment process
- Assisting with the placement of Fidelity Bond and E&O insurance
- Provide Principal Financial Officer oversight
Provide strategic direction for the Fund Administration Department:
- Develop strategic plan for growth and department efficiencies
- Manage an annual department budget and profitability metrics
- Develop leadership skills within fund administration management team
- Drive high level of customer service skills within the department and oversee established SLAs and KPIs for individual client accounts
- Monitor and improve department productivity, accuracy and effectiveness
- Develop department programs and initiatives to develop and retain talent
- Lead internal technology initiatives directly impacting the fund administration department
- Develop and influence new service lines in response to client needs and regulatory changes
- Maintain a culture of compliance within the department
Develop and Maintain Relationships with other SS&C Departments and Industry Groups
- Participate in a high performance leadership team that focuses on new business/service strategies and actively engage in the implementation of those strategies.
- Actively engage in industry groups and affiliations.
- Ensure close coordination and relationship development with independent auditors and other vendor relationships.
Existing and Prospective Client Interactions
- Regularly and directly interact with service clients on fund administration related matters.
- Participate in prospective client presentations on fund administration services.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong and demonstrated leadership skills.
- Must have advanced knowledge of and practical experience in the application of mutual fund industry accounting laws and regulations.
- Specific experience with exchange traded funds and other alternative products preferred.
- Must be able to manage multiple initiatives and projects simultaneously.
- Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong ability to communicate with a wide and varied internal and external audience including, but no limited to, executive management, regulators, auditors, industry groups, mutual fund clients and fund trustees.
- Travel to other locations may be required from time to time.
What You Will Bring:
- Minimum ten years' experience in mutual fund accounting or administration or similar roles within the mutual fund industry.
- Proven ability to oversee and lead a staff of accounting and finance professionals.
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Advanced Degree and/or Professional Certifications (ie CPA) preferred.
