Description:You will be the Lead Integrated Circuit Design Engineer for the Santa Barbara Focalplane business, supporting our Readout Integrated Circuit (ROIC) design team to advance our state of the art infrared (IR) imaging sensors. What You Will Be DoingAs the Lead Integrated Circuit Design Engineer (ROIC), you will be responsible for using cutting-edge tools, and contributing to mission-critical systems, including space, targeting, navigation, situational awareness sensors, aerial surveillance, and drone-mounted systems.Your responsibilities will include: • Developing ROIC design requirements• Contributing to new ROIC architectures• Designing analog, mixed signal, and digital circuit blocks • Interfacing with other engineering disciplines and giving customer and design review presentations• Requirements and concept development of ROIC systems, circuit block design, circuit simulation, coordination of circuit layout designers• Lab testing and debugging of hardware• Presentation of design review material• Coordination with CMOS semiconductor foundries • Support of IR sensor system design with other engineering disciplinesWhy Join UsDo you want to be part of a company culture that empowers employees to think big, lead with a growth mindset, and make the impossible a reality? Goleta is part of the central coast region of California and offers lots of great scenery and is a great place to live and to raise a family. Goleta is about 8 miles west of the city of Santa Barbara, along the coast (the coast runs east to west in this portion of southern California).#OneLMHotJobsBasic Qualifications:• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education• Experience with Cadence Virtuoso IC design suite• Experience in CMOS Integrated Circuit design• Experience in top level integrated circuit design, integration, and preparation for tapeoutDesired Skills:• Top level and circuit block experience of ROIC designs• Analog circuit design of amplifiers, current mirrors, and other bias circuits• Digital logic circuit design with custom logic blocks or with RTL behavioral design• Mixed signal circuit design of high speed digital blocks such as memory, PLL’s, analog to digital converters, digital to analog converters, and high speed serial transmitters• Transistor level layout mask design• Serial interface designs including serial peripheral, I2C, and other standard command and control interfaces• Linux C-Shell scripting• Version control management of source code with industry standard tool such as Cliosoft SOS or Git• Project management and coordination of engineering teams over product lifecycles• Understanding of IR sensor systems and all of their components• Lab experience of test and troubleshooting CMOS circuitsSecurity Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.Clearance Level: SecretOther Important Information You Should KnowExpression of Interest: By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per weekPay Rate:The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $109,500 - $209,900. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.This position is incentive plan eligible.Pay Rate:The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $125,900 - $237,400.
