A large correctional facility needs coverage due to a new program opening up within the facility. Credentialing will take approximately 2-3 weeks, and an active GA license is required. Central Georgia is known as the Heart of Georgia where you can visit the Georgia Aquarium, Centennial Olympic Park, and the Ocmulgee Mounds National Historic Park! The role involves managing a caseload of approximately 30 patients with mental illnesses, focusing on restoring their competency to stand trial. Responsibilities include admitting patients, monitoring their clinical progress, and providing Bio-Psycho-Social treatment. The position requires participation in treatment team meetings, writing treatment plans and clinical reports, and engaging in quality assurance activities. Collaboration occurs within a multi-disciplinary team of psychologists, mental health clinicians, nurses, and security staff, along with liaising with courts and law enforcement agencies.
