This is a licensed professional class in the Sheriff's Department, Medical Services Division. Mental Health Clinicians provide a wide variety of professional mental health and case management services to inmates with psychiatric disorders. In this position, you will conduct clinical assessments and develop treatment plans within a medical/psychiatric treatment program to patients presenting a varied array of psychiatric/psychological/substance use issues.

- Familiarity with and ability to function within the organizational structure of a law enforcement agency
- Experience interfacing with a wide range of community organizations and knowledge of community resources
- Professional demeanor with other agencies and collaborative partners with inmates and families of inmates
- Knowledge of the California Welfare Act, Lanterman-Petris-Short (LPS) Act and Penal Codes 1026, 2970 and 1370
