Are you ready to put your experience to work at Northrop Grumman? If so, our Aeronautics Systems sector is currently seeking Aircraft Structures Mechanics based in Moss Point, MS. You will be responsible for performing a variety of operations to assemble major structures such as bulkheads, and structural subassemblies. Aligns parts on jigs using templates and fixtures. Performs such minor part-assembly operations as filing, deburring, trimming, riveting, drilling, shimming, and reaming. Measures parts with micrometers, laser gauges and calipers to verify dimensions. May modify incomplete and complete assemblies to incorporate changes to structure. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED with at least 2-years of relatable aircraft experience in manufacturing/production experience (or similar) Demonstrated ability using standard measuring equipment and hand tools. Ability to read and understand blueprints, visual aids, technical specifications and operating procedures This position requires the ability to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include bending, stooping, kneeling, carrying tools, lifting 50 pounds and working overhead Must be able to pass a medical exam Preferred Qualifications: A&P License Previous manufacturing, or production experience. Able to read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, process specifications, technical manuals, written instructions, test procedures, etc. Salary Range: $42,000 - $70,000 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
