Job Summary: We are seeking a talented and experienced Chemist to join our dynamic Research and Development (R&D) team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in developing and testing new materials and formulations for our toy products, ensuring they meet stringent safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and formulate new materials for toy products, including plastics, coatings, adhesives, and colorants.
  • Conduct chemical analysis and testing to ensure materials meet performance and safety specifications.
  • Collaborate with product designers and engineers to integrate new materials into product designs.
  • Perform stability and compatibility testing of materials and finished products.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards (e.g., ASTM, CPSC, REACH, RoHS).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve material-related issues during the manufacturing process.
  • Document and report findings, maintaining detailed records of formulations, processes, and test results.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new materials, and regulatory changes.
  • Participate in cross-functional project teams to drive innovation and product development.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field (Master's or Ph.D. preferred).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the toy, consumer goods, or related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of polymer chemistry, material science, and chemical analysis techniques.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards and testing protocols for toy safety.
  • Proficient in using laboratory equipment and analytical instruments (e.g., FTIR, DSC, TGA, GC-MS).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Creative and innovative mindset with a passion for developing safe, high-quality products for children.

Salary:

$80,000.00 - $110,000.00 / year
