The Lead Power Electrical House Designer role belongs to a multicultural, multigeneration and diverse Power Electronics team. The Power Electronics team is a branch of the Global Engineering as the System team, the Automation team, and the Design office are.

Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- The Electrical House (E-House) Product Designer plays a pivotal role in driving the development, implementation, and management of E-House solutions (Power Conversion and Storage GE PCS Products such as Medium, Low Voltage Switchgear, Drives, Distribution, and Control House).
- The E-House Product Designer involves overseeing product strategy, leading project execution, and ensuring successful outcomes for GE Vernova PCS and Customer.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Application, Sourcing and Suppliers, Engineering, and Manufacturing to define product requirements, prioritize features, and ensure personalized customer site creation/modification requirements are meet.
- The Product Designer will lead the outdoor enclosure design and coordinate with other Engineer and Designer teams to come up with a walk-in modular E-House.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
- Uses judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles.
- Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or similar degree with a minimum of 6 years of experience in in Medium and High Voltage Power Electronics Converters.
- OR Master's Degree in Mechanical or similar degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Power Electronics Converters.
Desired Characteristics
- Networking, able to collaborate with others and agree on decisions.
- Experience with continues improvement and detailing work on Electrical and Mechanical design.
- Experience on writing Electrical and Mechanical Requirements and working with Suppliers.
- Autonomous, curious with the ability to understand new concepts, coach other engineers, and integrate into a team.
- Solid Experience on E-House Product requirements and Design.
