Leidos is seeking a Linux System Administrator Watch Officer as part of a team supporting the Defense Information Security Agency (DISA) in Pensacola, Florida.
This is a full time position that must work in Pensacola, Florida. No full time telework is allowed.
The Linux System Administrator Watch Officer supports 24x7x365 classified operations and will design, install, configure, secure, troubleshoot and maintain operating systems for mission critical servers in support of classified programs supporting the Department of Defense (DoD).

Pay Range: Pay Range $68,900.00 - $124,550.00

Leidos is seeking a Linux System Administrator Watch Officer as part of a team supporting the Defense Information Security Agency (DISA) in Pensacola, Florida.

The Linux System Administrator Watch Officer supports 24x7x365 classified operations and will design, install, configure, secure, troubleshoot and maintain operating systems for mission critical servers in support of classified programs supporting the Department of Defense (DoD).
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage Enterprise Red Hat Linux computing infrastructure.
- Installation and Maintenance of Enterprise Linux Servers and network systems server/storage/network devices in accordance with DoD policies and procedures
- Test new releases of products to ensure compatibility and minimize user impact.
- Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems.
- Work with a team of Service desk and systems Administrators.
- Utilize ITSM ticketing system for trouble management documentation.
- Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to DoD agencies and internal customers.
- Optimize system operations and resource utilization and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
- Research and recommend/assist in improving system performance.
- Communicate effectively with remote customers.
Requirements
- Requires one of the following: an Associate's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience, a Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI access.
- A DoD 8570 IAT Level II approved certification is required.
- Experience implementing and maintaining Linux/Red Hat systems/networks and related applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with big data and data formats such as CSV, CEF, JSON, and XML, preferred.
- Experience with Splunk, preferred.
