We are currently looking for a Head of PMO to join our growing team!

JOB SUMMARY

The Head of the PMO role leads the Group's portfolio of projects and programs. These projects include opportunities to develop, harmonize, implement, and improve processes and integrate new or existing businesses into the Group. The role will lead a a governance process to facilitate prioritization of initiatives against business priorities in a collaborative manner and will oversee project leaders The successful incumbent will drive projects to completion within agreed upon timelines through effectively and consistently demonstrating all of the responsibilities in this job description.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Engages with functional teams on solution design, implementation strategies, project execution, scheduling, resourcing, and risk management.
  • Delivers formal and informal presentations and project status to leadership teams.
  • Uses standardized tools where appropriate for monitoring projects and communications, has a working knowledge of regulatory agency requirements specific to the laboratory environment
  • Develops and establishes KPIs, guides and consults, performs project reviews to monitor progress, and ensures the successful completion of the project.
  • Develop roles, responsibilities, and management processes for cross-functional team
  • Identifies best practices in project and implementation management to help define and implement strategic improvement
  • Develop a framework for teams to document process improvement project plans. Ensures accuracy and high quality of project documentation.
  • Acts as lead advisor to top management and business partners on project resourcing, touchpoints, and success enablement.
  • Demonstrates ability to advance technologies, processes, and practices in area of specialization or discipline
  • Uses strong business knowledge, technical skills, and sound judgment to effectively assess risk, develop contingencies, and determine when to elevate issues
  • Demonstrates extensive knowledge of the organization's business practices and issues faced and contributes to problem resolution of those issues
  • Helps develop financial models and ROI calculations to justify project expenses and measure progress.
  • Leverages well-developed interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive working relationships with functional groups throughout the organization
  • Other duties as assigned


SUPERVISION

  • Supervision and oversight of PMs, Projects, and ability to work in a matrix environment


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred or a qualification deemed equivalent
  • PMP and Lean Six Sigma at minimum, green belt certification or equivalent required
  • Large multi-site laboratory operations preferred
  • 7+ years of project management and business transformation
  • Experience in production management environment and logistics preferred
  • Success at both planning revenue growth and profitability growth initiatives and driving them operationally
  • Program management and leadership experience


PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Occasional evening and weekend work to meet deadlines.
  • Able to participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetings.
  • Adaptable to working conditions (e.g., varying to 100% online/ virtual work environment or flexibility to travel up to 50% of the time (as required by project dynamics)
  • Regularly required to stand, sit, walk, use hands and arms, talk and hear
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and mouse and to handle other communications/computer components
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
