What You'll Contribute to OHM Advisors
The Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing multi-disciplinary teams on transportation and municipal projects, while driving business development and client management. They oversee all aspects of projects, from preliminary engineering to construction, including design, documentation, cost estimation, and QA/QC. This candidate will be collaborating with engineers, planners, technicians, and clients to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction. Required experience includes an established career in Civil Engineering with diverse project scope and expertise in roadway/highway/transportation design. If you have the desire to manage projects, OHM will provide necessary training.

This candidate will be collaborating with engineers, planners, technicians, and clients to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction. Required experience includes an established career in Civil Engineering with diverse project scope and expertise in roadway/highway/transportation design. If you have the desire to manage projects, OHM will provide necessary training.
Your Primary Focus
Project Leadership/Management:
- Lead multi-disciplinary teams on transportation and/or municipal projects.
- Lead the development of project proposals.
- Develop and manage project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Oversee project quality and deliverables.
- Mentor and support entry-level staff.
- Solve challenging problems and advance client goals.
Team Management & Communication:
- Supervise the engineering team and provide technical advice and support.
- Ensure work is completed as planned and on schedule.
- Initiate and maintain communication with OHM surveyors, designers, and sub-consultants.
- Lead internal and client progress meetings.
- Lead the development of client presentations and public meeting materials.
Technical Expertise:
- Roadway/highway infrastructure design, preparation of construction documents, and cost estimating.
- Conduct QA/QC for design calculations, plan preparation, and cost estimates.
- Thorough understanding of ODOT design criteria, standards, specifications, and plan preparation.
- Experience with OpenRoads Designer and/or Civil 3D.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Must be Registered as a Professional Engineer in Ohio.
- Experience working on ODOT, LPA, and/or municipal transportation projects.
- Understanding of ODOT Project Development Process.
- Must have the desire to participate in business development or have previous success in business development.
- Strong technical writing skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience working with Communities, County Engineers, City Engineers, and/or Service Directors is a plus.
- Experience with funding applications is a plus.
