Key Responsibilities:
Tennessee Oncology is looking for a full-time outpatient Palliative Care Physician to provide specialized care for patients facing cancer and serious illness. This role involves working closely with our oncology team to ensure comprehensive symptom management, psychosocial support, and care coordination.
- Provide high-quality outpatient palliative care for oncology patients
- Collaborate with oncologists and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient-centered care plans
- Conduct thorough assessments and manage complex symptoms associated with cancer and its treatment
- Facilitate communication between patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure alignment of goals of care
- Educate patients and families about palliative care options and advance care planning
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions
- Provider supervision and teaching to Palliative nurse practitioners on our team
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of palliative care programs
