Job Description
UM Upper Chesapeake Health (UMUCH), a member of the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS), has a full-time employed position available for a Hematology/Oncology Nurse Practitioner to join their practice located at the Kaufman Cancer Center in Bel Air, MD.
Nurse Practitioner Job Specifics:
This position will be responsible for managing care and treating patients, both independently and in collaboration with physicians and colleagues, at the Kaufmann Cancer Center.
Outpatient only. No call responsibilities.
Collaborative, interdisciplinary team comprised of physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, case managers, medical assistants and administrative support staff.
Monday through Friday work schedule.
Part of the University of Maryland Cancer Network, including an affiliation with the Greenebaum Cancer Center

Qualifications
Education & Training: Master of Science degree with completion of a Nurse Practitioner program. Registered with the Maryland Board of Examiners of Nurses and Certified as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Maryland. BLS certification and Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) is required. ACLS may be required. Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse (AOCN) is preferred.
Work Orientation & Experience: A minimum of two (2) years oncology nursing experience and at least two (2) years adult NP experience is preferred. Previous outpatient setting experience is preferred. Experience in chemotherapy orders and administration and outpatient oncology patient symptom management preferred.
