Hematology/Oncology Physician

Coverage Needed * June 16, 2025 - Ongoing * Start FT next year for 6+ months and also looking for specific dates below: Schedule * M-Th 7:00 AM-5:30PM with night call * 24hr remote call coverage Fri-Sun Clinical Details * Outpatient Chemotherapy and Infusion Center * Oncologist provides outpatient chemotherapy and infusions and is a solo provider * No hospital consults required with low volume remote call * MD can work directly with ER physician or hospitalist, for any admissions * Duties: All aspects of Diagnosis, Staging, Precision Medicine, symptom management, and Treatment of Hematology/ Oncology Patients. MD oversight for both the Oncology/Hematology clinic and Infusion Services. Infusion Center requires MD onsite for all treatments. Infusion Center provides Chemotherapy, Immunotherapy, Blood/Platelet transfusions, Hormone therapy, Antibiotic Therapy, Rheumatoid Arthritis injections, and Therapeutic Phlebotomies * Bone Marrow Biopsies are referred to outside provider * Average daily census: 15-21 patients Mon-Thurs with 3/4 of appointments going on the MD schedule. 10 patients per day with 1-2 being new patients * Mon-Thurs shared between the MD and NP with 3/4 of appointments going on the MD schedule * 7 Infusion chairs * Outpatient clinic Requirements * Board Certified in Oncology and Hematology - Preferred * Will consider Board Eligible * Can accept providers boarded in Oncology OR Hematology * Active CA License and DEA * Medical Oncology Fellowship * BLS, ACLS * Clean Malpractice/background - Preferred * Local provider - Highly Preferred Support Staff * 1- clinic RN, 2-MAs, 2-front office clerks, 1-quality analyst/billing, and 3 infusions RNs EMR * iKnowmed (Clinic) and Cerner (Infusion)
