About the Role
ECBM is looking for a Senior Account Manager to join our team in our Commercial Lines Department! This person will report to the Director of Client Services. They will maintain an assigned book of business by building client loyalty through excellence in service. This person will manage client's renewal strategy and direct marketing efforts. They will also create new sales opportunities by supporting the firm's cross-selling and account-rounding efforts and seeking referrals from existing clients.
Responsibilities
- Sustain and enhance customer's relationship with ECBM. Respond to all customer needs with accuracy, promptness, and courtesy.
- Manage and coordinate renewal process in conjunction with the Producer and/or Account Executive.
- Control renewal process by developing account retention and growth strategy. Develop service plan for each client in accordance with ECBM service standards. Adhere to account renewal timelines and gathering of necessary information.
- Conduct Account Review to determine risks and exposures to loss.
- Identify cross sell and account rounding opportunities.
- Determine best markets and marketing strategy.
- Compile submission information in format most conducive to producing best coverage and pricing terms for customer.
- Negotiate terms with carrier(s).
- Prepare proposal and stewardship reports on accounts as required by service standards.
- Deliver renewal proposal and subsequent renewal paperwork to customer with Producer and/or Account Executive
- Follow agency renewal binding procedures, including but not limited to updating Agency Management System, preparing updated certificate masters, providing billing and other account related instructions to the associate(s)
- Coordinate claim services with the claim department. Design and implement claim management program with each client.
- Conduct periodic loss reviews according to ECBM service standards.
- Coordinate with Claims representatives in garnering information on significant or potentially significant claims
- Monitor open claims issues through reports generated by claims department.
- Aid claim department in resolving claim issues, as necessary.
Strategy:
- Identify risk control issues and coordinate with clients, insurance carriers, or outside vendors to provide necessary solutions.
- Notify management and producer of potential issues related to coverage, audits, claims, collections, etc.
- Provide producers with necessary support to promote firm's growth and retention goals.
- Assist all clients, departments or associates when required and requested to maintain firm's relationships and good standing.
- Develop relationship with Insurance Markets.
Education & Experience
- Property Casualty Agent's License required.
- Bachelor's Degree.
- At least 5 years of insurance experience with good understanding of multi-line commercial insurance contract and coverages.
- Strong understanding of sales process and ability to influence others is necessary.
- Must have good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Good listening skills are required as well as a desire to solve problems.
- Should possess an understanding of negotiation process.
- Professional Designation is a plus.
