Methodist Healthcare, the largest provider of cardiovascular services in South Texas, is recruiting vascular surgeons to join our growing program in San Antonio, Texas. Qualified Candidates: * Board certified or board eligible in vascular surgery * Experience with percutaneous and endovascular treatment of peripheral arterial disease, open vascular surgical procedures, endovascular treatment of aortic aneurysms, extra-cranial carotid disease, venous procedures including VNUS closure procedures a plus, proficient with wires and catheters * Built-in referral base through partnership with large, established cardiovascular practices * Ability to primarily focus practice at one of our Methodist Healthcare hospitals * Call not required, but available * Experience preferred, but not required * Superb communication skills, a track record of leadership, and a passion for program development and collaboration * Eligible for an unrestricted medical licensure in Texas required Incentive/Benefits Package: * Sign-on bonus * Competitive salary * Comprehensive benefit package that includes health and dental coverage * Relocation assistance * Paid malpractice About Methodist Heart and the Methodist Healthcare System: * Methodist Heart Hospital consistently performs more open heart surgeries than any other hospital in San Antonio, making it the busiest program in the region * Largest Heart Transplant program in South Texas, saving over 500 lives * South Texas only comprehensive Aortic Aneurysm Program * Over 2,000 TAVR procedures performed; 400 annually * Established lung transplant program in 2021 * Over 150 ECMOs annually * Over 1600 open heart surgeries each year * Programs include VATS minimally invasive thoracic surgery and lung nodule program * Over 90 cardiology physicians in Methodist Physician Practices * 25 cath labs * Five accredited chest pain centers * Two heart failure clinics * Methodist Healthcare System is the largest provider of health care in South and Central Texas with 28 facilities, including nine acute care hospitals serving over 94,000 inpatients and 500,000 outpatients annually San Antonio is home to 2.5 million people and is experiencing solid economic growth in industries such as bioscience and healthcare, aerospace, IT and cybersecurity and green technologies.
