Summit, NJ Contract to Hire M-F, 8am-5pm (M-Th) 8a-2p (F) $28-$33/hour ASSEMBLER We are seeking an assembler to assist our client with large, industrial equipment that is used within manufacturing processes. Responsibilities: Perform assembly of equipment and sub-assemblies. Disassemble, inspect and perform repairs to customers' assemblies. Perform dynamic tests on critical assemblies before shipping to customers. Participate in all mandated company training classes. Operate lifting devices in a safe manner - forklifts, overhead hoists Assist shop or service personnel as necessary Maintain a safe, clean work environment. Qualifications: Must have the knowledge and ability to interpret assembly drawings in order to assemble components as part of a complete mill is essential. Knowledge of proper bearing and seal installation is a plus! 2+ Years' experience building mechanical rotating assemblies using sound shop practices. Must be able to provide own toolbox and own SAE & Metric tools - company provides specialty tools when necessary.
