Position Overview: Xenter is seeking a self-driven, autonomous and motivated accounting leader who can work in a fast-moving organization utilizing their experience and passion to oversee the company's accounting operations and ensuring financial accuracy and compliance as the company prepares for PCAOB audit scrutiny. This role requires a detail-oriented and strategic financial leader who can manage complex financial processes, provide insightful analysis, and support executive management in making informed business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting:
    • Oversee the preparation and distribution of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
    • Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close and reporting processes.
  • Internal Controls and Compliance:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial statement accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and manage the annual audit process.
  • Audit Preparation
  • Lead the preparation for PCAOB audits, ensuring all financial records and controls meet PCAOB standards.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive audit readiness plan, including timelines, milestones, and responsible parties.
  • Conduct gap analyses to identify and address deficiencies in current financial processes and controls.
  • Train and educate the accounting team and other relevant departments on PCAOB requirements and best practices.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
  • Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Evaluate and enhance team performance through training and development initiatives.
  • Strategic Partnership:
  • Collaborate with other departments to support overall company goals and objectives.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
  • Serve as a key advisor to the executive management team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting and industry experience.
  • Experience with SEC reporting and SOX compliance.
  • Proven experience in a Controller or similar role, preferably in a medical device or related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
  • Experience preparing for and participating in an IPO process.
  • Exceptional analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Strong skills in integrating various software packages with Netsuite
  • Proficiency in Netsuite highly preferable.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or advanced degree in accounting or related field.
  • Experience in a high-growth, pre-IPO environment.
  • Knowledge of medical device industry regulations and standards.
  • Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
