What is the opportunity?
The Office Assistant will provide office and administrative support by learning and utilizing all of RBC GAM (U.S.) systems and tools, including Microsoft Office Suite, CRM, Concur travel and expense program, and WebEx. This role will interact with members of functional groups and representatives of third parties such as clients, governmental entities, accountants, law firms etc.
What will you do?
- Provide basic printer maintenance by filling with paper and toner, arrange for repair as needed
- Coordinate with each department and third-party vendor for offsite record storage
- Order all office and kitchen supplies
- Act as back up receptionist as needed
- Assist with connecting conference room technology, order catering, print materials as requested
- Travel booking and expense reporting in Concur as assigned
- Interact professionally with internal and external clients and prospects; handle inquiries effectively, in an organized and courteous manner
- Handle confidential matters with discretion and good judgment; maintain confidentiality of all matters ascertained by reason of access to such information in this position
- Cross train within peer group to serve as back up and contribute to a high performing administrative team environment
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Education Level: High school Diploma, College degree preferred
- Experience: 3-5 years of administrative or other relevant experience/transferable skills
Nice-to-have
- Some experience working in an office environment
