Norton Orthopedic Institute is recruiting fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeons with a focus on total joint replacement, general orthopedics or sports medicine.

Norton Orthopedic Institutes comprehensive team of fellowship-trained physicians and advanced practice providers specializes in adult orthopedic care, including adult total joint replacement, general orthopedics, sports medicine and orthopedic oncology. The team provides services throughout Greater Louisville, supporting Norton Healthcares system of seven adult acute-care facilities in Kentucky and Southern Indiana. Norton Healthcare was the first system in the country to be designated an Advanced Center of Excellence for Orthopedics & Spine by DNV.

The selected candidate will join an established group of practices, supported by front office and clinical staff, and receiving referrals from a large network of providers. Nurses specialized in orthopedics serve as navigators to help support patients through their clinical and surgical journey.

Norton Healthcare provides nearly 60% of the health care for Greater Louisville, and accounts for nearly 47% of the inpatient and outpatient orthopedic market share. Norton Orthopedic Institute currently uses advanced technology and continues to evaluate opportunities to further support physicians and practitioners.

About the Position

  • Shared call schedule rotation based on the orthopedic needs of the assigned campus
  • Full-time position supporting clinical and surgical schedule five days a week
  • Inpatient consultations and surgical care of patients admitted to assigned facilities
  • Provide outpatient care in our ambulatory offices
  • Ambulatory and surgical practice are supported by advanced practice providers
  • Competitive base salary with opportunity to earn an annual bonus
  • Relocation incentive and sign-on bonus for providers relocating from outside Greater Louisville

Requirements for the position
  • Medical degree/diploma
  • Residency/fellowship certification
  • Indiana/Kentucky medical license or license eligible
