Based at a project site in Baltimore, MD, and working alongside other project managers, you’ll be responsible not only for the overall project delivery, on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, but also for the management of the project development from conception through completion in accordance with program objectives.  You'll manage and provide construction oversight to OARs and resolve complex construction project related issues, disputes, and disagreements. As the onsite Owners Representative, you’ll be responsible for ensuring not only the progress and technical MEP performance of a project, but also the material management, schedule, cost, scope and safety of the team. You’ll provide effective, skilled project management to help reduce the costs of delivering projects and adding value to the business by applying proven project management techniques and play an integral role in mentoring staff.Your keen ability to multi-task, communicate effectively, tackle project challenges, solve complex problems, and experience on construction projects with an operational perspective will allow you to thrive in our fast-paced environment.  This role requires strong interpersonal skills, technical expertise in the construction process and a thorough understanding of commissioning methods and objectives.Your role keeps our company connected and we’ll support you with what you need to be successful.   Here's what you'll need Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering10+ years of as a Project Manager managing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing system construction for multiple large projectsStrong working knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, contract management, project delivery methods, building systems/components and technology, team building, and client relationship building Experience with the following:Research laboratory or healthcare projects that include wet labs, vivarium, fume hoods, biosafety cabinets, environmentally controlled rooms, etc.Campus central utility plant systems (steam, chilled water, etc.)Leading, designing, or constructing complex mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and low voltage systemsProjects for a large institution with large facilities staff and specific design standards or construction specificationsProjects over $100M or 200,000 SFParticipating in pre-design, preconstruction or integrated design processes where the owner, architect, construction manager, and trade contractors work together to develop the design.High sustainability goals such as LEED Gold or equivalentProficiency in the following:MEP related design conceptsMEP related means and methods for constructionUnderstanding of QA/QC and Commissioning processesCommunication skills and able to be client-facingOrganizational skills and attention to detailIdeally, you'll also haveCertified Construction Manager (CCM) certificationLicensed Professional Engineer (PE) Sponsorship is not available for this position. #NorthPMCM #EastPMCM Posted Salary Range: Minimum 180,000.00 Posted Salary Range: Upper 230,000.00 Jacobs’ health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about.
