Litigation Paralegal

LHH is seeking a paralegal with insurance defense and/or medical malpractice experience in Jacksonville, FL. Ideal candidates will have solid experience working with insurance companies and claims adjusters. You will be responsible for drafting, formatting, and proofreading correspondence and legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, discovery requests, etc.; maintaining department records, both physically and electronically; calendaring; coordinating court dates and appearances; scheduling meetings with witnesses and other involved parties; legal research; and other tasks as assigned. You will also be responsible for administrative duties, such as word processing, maintaining files, attorney time entry, and expense reporting. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized multi-tasker with excellent written and verbal communication skills. This is a high volume desk in a relaxed atmosphere. If you are a skilled and efficient insurance defense/medical malpractice paralegal who exhibits high attention to detail and who remains calm under pressure, this is the role for you!
Qualifications:
3+ years of insurance defense and/or medical malpractice litigation experience, including solid understanding of local court rules and procedures
Strong computer proficiency, especially with MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Solid organizational and multi-tasking skills with high attention to detail
Great communication and interpersonal skills with a helpful, no-job-too-small mindset
Salary: $70,000-$80,000/yr.
