They ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at the established levels. They coordinate and integrate the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and customers, identifying opportunities for improving efficiency, effectiveness and capabilities of the supply chain. Resources are focused on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through production processes, and the establishment of key performance metrics and benchmarks to monitor actual performance against goals.The SR Director of Supply Chain is responsible for driving transformation and continuous improvement initiatives globally, that are related to the supply chain strategy of the Appliances Business Unit.  This position is responsible for both strategic and tactical aspects of material & services sourcing globally, supplier management, supply chain planning process (S&OP, S&OE), manufacturing and distribution center supply chain planning, logistics, inventory management, and customer experience. This role must be a “change agent” while collaborating and influencing a diverse and effective global team. TASKS and RESPONSIBILITIESRESPONSIBILITIES: •    Develop and implement the Integrated Supply Chain vision, which includes differentiating the customer experience to win against our competition •    Lead Global Sourcing (Procurement) for all Direct & Indirect Materials, Supplies and Services  •    Develop and manage supplier base cost improvement initiatives and activities in accordance with the business requirements set forth by regional and global procurement •    Lead supplier relationship management and supplier development that meets quality and product compliance requirements and delivers continuous productivity improvement •    Oversee Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process to allow manufacturing & supply chain partners to anticipate and plan production capacity to drive Extraordinary Customer Experience (ECE) •    Set up S&OE Process that covers the near-term horizon to improve business execution and operational excellence •    Develop the continuous improvement path for supply chain, building on best practice benchmarking (Standard work, Star Level requirements for tools and metrics, assessing competition and external market to form best practices) •    Drive a systematic strategy for inventory management, delivery, and freight productivity to ensure we are continually improving our working capital •    Provide both strategic and tactical leadership regarding continuous improvement, project selection, defining scope and driving performance, to ensure alignment with business strategy •    Coordinate with the regional and global counterparts to execute common platform cost-saving programs. Ensure best practices and lessons learned are shared between regions. •    Lead talent management, organizational assessment and build succession depth in the integrated supply chain organization Qualifications:•    At least 15 years of Procurement/Sourcing/Supply Chain experience with at least 5 years of leading related teams in a global structure. •    Strong operations background with a proven track record of success in plant operations management, preferable multi-site management experience  •    Possess strong and sound continuous improvement disciplines and convictions; Proven success in these areas is a must. Lean proficiency is a plus. •    Proven track record that demonstrates the ability to achieve desired results in a competitive, complex and dynamic global business environment •    Strong people & organizational leadership skills: Change agent; People oriented; Managerial courage, gravitas and influencing skills to partner effectively with the operations leadership team. •    Proven experience leading and coaching to improve individual and team performance. •    Effective communication skills to translate strategy to action for broad employee groups within the business and across the enterprise. •    Ability to prioritize very well and maintain an appropriate balance in a fast-paced, dynamic environment •    Bachelor’s degree required.
