We work closely with various multi-functional teams including, but not limited to the Silicon Design, Camera HW/SW, and QA. Our team environment is dynamic, fast-paced and requires a self-starter attitude.DescriptionIn this role, you will be responsible for prototyping, implementing and productizing auto exposure algorithms and enhancement that can adapt to a variety of Apple products like iPhone, iPad, MacBook and Vision Pro. You are also expected to collaborate with multi-functional teams within the camera organization to deliver thoroughly thought-through and extremely optimized camera solutions for Apple products. In addition, you'll partner with various camera technology teams to streamline algorithm deployment, such as accelerating algorithms in silicon with SOC architecture team, improving new camera components with the hardware team, optimizing algorithm and flow with the firmware team, or prototyping your work with camera simulation and the machine learning team. The perfect candidate is hard-working, adept at problem-solving, and quick to grasp new concepts. You are comfortable working in a dynamic multi-functional environment, quick to establish relationships and collaborated with many dedicated engineers to build high-quality features in Apple products.Minimum QualificationsBS and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experienceGeneral knowledge of camera and image signal processor (ISP)Proficient at coding in a combination of C/C++, Python and/or MatlabPreferred QualificationsProven experience in camera and ISPIn-depth knowledge of camera and ISP algorithm development and tuning, including 3A (AE/AWB/AF)Deep understanding in key auto exposure concepts and techniques such as HDR imaging, light source flicker mitigationStrong embedded coding skills (C/C++) with understanding of object oriented programming (OOP)Industry experience in successfully designing, implementing and managing the prompt delivery of a productDemonstrated collaboration capabilitiesPay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $135,400 and $250,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
