Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.CONTRACTS MANAGER SpaceX’s rapid growth has created an opportunity to add a Contracts Manager to the Government Contracts team. This person will be responsible for contract administration and compliance across multiple types of U.S. Government and commercial contracts, including ensuring we meet our contractual obligations and performance milestones. The Contracts Manager will perform legal-related work pertaining to his/her assigned contracts, such as negotiating and executing non-disclosure agreements and subcontract/purchase agreements. The Contracts Manager will also assist in proposal review and preparation in response to Government solicitations.RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure compliance with government and commercial contracts, including prime contracts, and assist mission managers with contract performanceNegotiate government contracts, non-disclosure agreements and subcontractor/vendor contractsDraft responses to government and commercial proposal solicitations in coordination with mission managers and engineersReview, interpret and provide advice regarding contract and agreement typesManage invoices and payments with government and commercial contractsCreate and maintain contract and business filesEstablish and maintain excellent relationships with Government counterpartsBASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree5+ years of government contract administration or management experiencePREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:Knowledge of government contracts and contract types, Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR), and/or the NASA FAR Supplement (NFS)DoD and/or NASA contract administration experienceRequest for proposal (RFP) analysis and proposal preparation experienceProven ability to work independently in a fast-paced environmentExcellent academic credentials and strong research, writing, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skillsJD, MBA, or NCMA certificationActive Top Secret or TS/SCI clearanceADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Must be willing to work extended hours and/or weekends as neededAbility to obtain a DoD security clearanceCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:Pay range:          Contracts Manager/: $160,000.00 - $200,000.00/per year              Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience. Those with an active clearance will receive a 10% differential, up to an additional $15,000 annually, once officially briefed into a classified program.Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX. You may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of company stock, stock options, or long-term cash awards, as well as potential discretionary bonuses and the ability to purchase additional stock at a discount through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
