Acara Solutions, one of the country's largest aerospace staffing services firms, is helping our national aerospace manufacturing client find a Senior Test Engineer to join their organization as a salaried direct employee. The salary range is $140K - $161K. This is an 100% onsite position in their north Bothell, WA plant. The Test Engineer IV is a senior contributor who works highly independently and uses originality, ingenuity and established procedures to perform engineering duties in researching, planning, designing, and developing products for use in the Aerospace or Electronics marketplace. The Test Engineer IV specializes in complex technical matters, works within a collaborative Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment, and is responsible for multiple independent tasks. Work effectively with all functional groups to achieve product performance and cost targets. Build quality and manufacturability into the design. Define/understand/comply with company and regulatory guidelines to assure a safe operating environment.Support continuous process improvement activities including Kaizen, 5S practices to ensure anorganized and efficient working environment, and personal development.Demonstrate proficiency with verbal and written English for technical reports, presentations,analyses, or other communications at the appropriate level throughout the organization. Understand, decompose, and define product and process requirements to support productdevelopment, sustaining and R&D.Plan, estimate, prioritize, and manage work activities to support meeting project schedules and budgets. Utilize experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Produce thorough and accurate design and development work of suitable complexity that meets all customer specifications and company requirements for schedule, cost, producibility, quality, and reliability.Utilize proficient problem-solving processes, documentation, tools and analyses to quickly andeffectively identify root cause and corrective actions to technical challenges and/or issue in support of product development and product sustaining assignmentsGenerate and review product development documentation including proposals, technical reports, procedures, correspondence, etc. necessary to satisfy customer and program requirements.Self-directed and motivated while working and communicating effectively within a team environment that consists of several engineering, operations, quality, and business disciplines. Mentor junior engineers and others in the area of expertise.Provide support of IPT activities in collaboration with other technical, operations, quality, and business disciplines. Design test equipment hardware and software, select and procure equipment necessary to obtain desired results and accuracy, integrate and/or build automated test systems of high complexity. Design, code and debug computer/data acquisition systems necessary for automated testing in National Instruments' LabVIEW, TestStand or similar software.Provide design package consisting of written description, detailed wiring and schematics, pictures, component lists, etc., such that test equipment and test systems can be accuratelyreconstructed; Assure that test data generated is neat, organized, accurate, and archived properlyGenerate test procedures from specifications. Perform calculations to establish testequipment specifications, design margins, test setup, and test limits. Support Production in design of new test equipment and error proofing and upgrade of existing test equipmentProvide throughout review of test equipment documents, procedures, design, and providetestability review for product designsJob Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in engineering Min 8 years of experience in test engineering that includes analog and digital circuit hardware design, microprocessor / microcontroller design, automated test system design, and programming of data acquisitions systems, and software development and verification. Minimum of 3 years of experience in product requirements development, requirements analysis/verification and test procedures developmentMin 1 year of experience in configuration management in a regulated environmentMin 3 years of experience with system-design platforms (e.g., LabView, TestStand)Min 1 year experience with SPICE, CAD, Schematic Design and PWB LayoutMin 1 year of experience with communication interfaces (e.g., ARINC429, CAN, RS232, I2C...)This is an aerospace/defense ITAR facility, U.S. Persons required.
