The Role
Fidelity Brokerage has an opening for a Principal DevOps engineer with expertise in Android deployments.
As our build steward, you will own the CI/CD pipelines for the Android platform, and be responsible for supporting the build, test, and release processes. This position will help accelerate the integration of test automation, and champion sound engineering practices to ensure the team's success, both now and in the future.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
You know that reliable and performant pipelines are the secret to our success, and you have the passion and skill to deliver them! You have a proven record building and improving pipelines at scale. Your strengths include strong communication and collaboration skills, and you excel in your ability to influence an organization to constantly improve their products and processes.
Ideal candidates will have a forward-thinking approach to work, anticipating inflection points (like Gradle and Android SDK upgrades) to have the pipelines ready in advance. This role is inclusive of related tasks such as handling security scans, generating build health reports, and assisting teams with test automation.
Comfort with Kotlin and one or more scripting languages, such as bash, Groovy, or Python is required. You get bonus points for familiarity with topics like Espresso UI Automation Tests and accessibility testing and remediation.
Experience navigating a highly regulated industry is a definite bonus.
Desired experience includes:
- Six to nine years of creating and improving mobile CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or other cloud-based build systems
- Experience with tools and technologies such as Artifactory, AWS, Docker, and Gradle, plus an understanding of the Google Play Store processes
