Cannon Companies is looking for a qualified applicant to join our team as a licensed Journeyman Electrician O1 who is willing to travel.Some out of state travel will be required. This will be a full-time, hourly (non-exempt) position with competitive wages. Essential Requirements:Have a valid O1 Electrical License High School diploma or GED certificateKnowledge of NEC electrical codesEagerness to learn electrical schematics and blueprint reading skillsComfortable communicating with othersMotivated to learn and able to adapt to changes when neededHave a current valid Driver's LicenseBe able to pass a pre-employment Drug Screening and Criminal Background CheckThis role is a Safety Sensitive position and requires Military Base AccessTravel will be required-up to 75% of the time; some of which will be out of state travel. Primary Responsibilities:Perform all duties according to prescribed safety procedures and use appropriate safety equipment.Plans layout, installs and repairs wiring, electrical fixtures and control equipmentPlans new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials, provide access for future maintenance and avoid unsightly, hazardous, unreliable wiring, consistent with specifications and local electrical codesSplices wires by stripping insulation from terminal leads, using knife or pliers, twisting or soldering wires together and applying tape or terminal capsInstalls controls as well as distribution apparatus, like switches, relays and circuit-breaker panels, fastening in place with screws or bolts, using hand and power Install, repair, and maintain various electrical wiring systems and equipmentTests continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility as well as safety of components, using testing instruments like ohmmeter, battery buzzer and oscilloscopeFollow safety codes and building regulations Why Join us?
