Position Summary: Senior Human Resources Generalist/Safety
The Human Resources Generalist plays a crucial role in supporting a range of HR functions, including payroll/benefits administration, safety, training, and employee relations. This position will work in all areas of Human Resources and will have a tremendous impact on the organization. Your role will be crucial in fostering a positive workplace environment and ensuring that HR processes run efficiently.
Requirements
Essential Functions
- Assist in a variety of HR responsibilities including, but not limited to payroll/benefits processing, safety, training, recruitment, employee leave administration, and performance and talent management.
- Regularly review and update HR policies and procedures to maintain compliance.
- Lead the employee onboarding/orientation. Work with leaders to adjust the program as necessary to ensure individual and employer success.
- Assist with disciplinary actions, coaching, terminations, and investigations as needed.
- Address employment-related inquiries, escalating complex or sensitive issues as needed.
- Lead the recruitment cycle for all hourly employees
- Ensure all annual training is tracked and completed as required
- Ensure safety audits are completed, documented, and action items closed out
- Lead incident investigations and submit W.C. claims as needed
- Lead the company safety committee
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Excellent organizational skills and time management skills; ability to plan and coordinate work independently balancing multiple work demands.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Ability to be flexible in the work environment and willing and able to adapt to changing organizational needs across all three shifts.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS (Paylocity) system
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or corresponding experience.
- 3 - 5 years of applicable human resources generalist experience
- 3 - 5 years of safety management in a manufacturing setting
Salary Description
$65,000 - $85,000
