The Division of Gastroenterology in the Department of Medicine at Tufts Medical Center in Boston is seeking a full-time Gastroenterologist with significant experience in clinical and/or translational research to lead the divisional research program as the Associate Chief of Gastroenterology for Research. We are looking for an experienced gastroenterologist who has a track record of federal research funding and/or significant experience running clinical trials. This individual will join a cluster of collaborators across our clinical and basic science departments to develop a robust interdisciplinary research program, within and beyond gastroenterology research. This position will include mentoring students, residents, fellows, and young faculty who are interested in a research career.
The goal of this position is to build a translational, and clinical research program within the Division of Gastroenterology and to collaborate with basic scientists to build research expertise both in areas of existing strength and in areas of opportunity for growth inside and outside the Gastroenterology Division. Successful applicants will have a track record of impactful publishing and robust research support, as appropriate to their career stage. Candidates who bring state-of-the-art methods and capabilities that can add to our transdisciplinary translational research will be prioritized.

Who you are:
M.D. or D.O. degree with experience appropriate to your career level.
Successful candidates will be expected to develop thriving, well-funded research programs and to participate in graduate and medical student teaching and mentoring.
