Material Handler

We are urgently hiring Material Handlers for an electronics components and parts distributor. The Material Handler performs a variety of distribution center activities related to one or more of the following processes: packing, shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, stock handling, storing, distribution, and inventory support. Principal Responsibilities:

• Fulfill orders from stored inventory, ensuring customer requirements and inspection/testing processes are met.
• Ship orders within time commitments and complete all documentation. Communicate with lead/supervisor regarding any fulfillment issues or problems.
• Receive, unpack, and inspect incoming materials and products, verifying against written orders and returning defective materials.
• Ensure documentation such as packing lists, shipping labels, and other documents are complete, accurate, and processed appropriately.

• Acquiring basic knowledge of job content, practices, and procedures. Still learning the skills necessary to fully perform the job.
• Perform functions that are routine in nature with minimal complexity or variation.
• Work is performed under supervision and detailed instructions are given to perform tasks. Follow priorities provided for performing work.
• Interact mostly with immediate peers within the assigned work group. Limited interaction and information exchange with other internal departments or work groups may be required to perform the role.
• Impact of decisions is typically contained within assigned work.

Work Experience:

• Typically less than one year

Education and Certification(s):

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Distinguishing Characteristics:

• Requires the ability to stand for prolonged periods and to consistently/repetitively lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Overtime occurs frequently and is required based on business needs.
• May require forklift certification.
• May be required to meet specified visual acuity standards if completing final inspections.

Required:

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
