- This position will offer you the opportunity to support the Sargent & Lundy project team that is performing detailed design and engineering for new power generation and battery energy storage systems in Puerto Rico.
- You will primarily work in the client's offices in San Juan to coordinate between the client and the Sargent & Lundy project team. You will also spend time in the Sargent & Lundy office in San Juan and work directly with the project team members.
- You will be in a client facing role to support daily project needs such as project funding, project planning and coordination, technical design, construction support, and procurement support.
- Coordinate and support other contractors regarding project execution, construction management, and funding allocation.
- Support and provide guidance to the client regarding critical project activities.
- Support internal Sargent & Lundy team members by providing direction and guidance based on client decisions.
- Assist in efforts to ensure the projects are completed satisfactorily, on time, and within budget.
- Participate in project meetings and presentations, effectively communicating technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Travel to plant site locations as required.

Essential skills and experience:
- A Bachelor's of Electrical Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program is required and an emphasis in power systems is preferred.
- PE license highly preferred or ability to earn a PE license is required.
- 10 or more years of experience with power plant design, with a focus on integrated, detailed system design for new plants, or modifications or replacements for existing plants.
- Proven experience in project management, with a PMP certification preferred.
- Must be bilingual in both English and Spanish (read, speak, and write).
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- This position in based in San Juan, Puerto Rico and will require occasional travel.
Valued but not required skills and experience:
- Familiarity with Puerto Rico power generation, and experience working for or with PREPA.
- Technical knowledge and experience with instrumentation and controls engineering.
- Construction and start-up experience a plus.
