What You'll Contribute to OHM Advisors
As a Project Manager at OHM Advisors, you'll lead essential municipal infrastructure projects that enhance community well-being. You'll manage multidisciplinary teams and oversee projects related to utility infrastructure-such as potable water, sanitary sewer, and stormwater systems-as well as roadways, parks, and public facilities. By guiding these projects from concept to completion and addressing challenges with people-first solutions, your work will directly support our mission of advancing communities and driving sustainable growth.

Your Responsibilities
Project Management:
- Preparing and managing scope, schedule, and budget for proposals and contracts, and overall decision-making.
- Effectively communicating project goals, alternatives, recommendations, and outcomes to project team, client, and public (memos, reports, presentations, etc.).
- Timely and accurate completion of OHM and sub-consultant invoices and collections.
- Projects may require working with a multidisciplinary team of planners, engineers,architects, and technicians and will range from preliminary engineering to final design/construction documents.
- Understanding OHM services and how they relate to the client's organization and needs.
- Anticipating project issues, including advising the client on alternatives and providing recommendations for solving issues.
Team & Client Management:
- Managing staff, sub-consultants, and expenses during project implementation.
- Must be able to document and present work to team &clients in a clear and concise manner.
- Understanding OHM services and how they relate to the client's organization and needs.
- Obtaining repeat work from clients, including cross-selling of services.
- Experience in business development, marketing & sales.
- Anticipating project issues, including advising the client on alternatives and providing recommendations for solving issues.
Requirements
Education, Experience & Licensure:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of Design experience with water mains, sanitary sewer, roads, pathways, and stormwater systems, are a requirement.
- Experience with developing and leading teams & securing work with clients.
- Familiarity with hydraulic/hydrologic modeling of water distribution, wastewater, stormwater systems.
- Licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Michigan.
Technical Skills:
- The candidate must be able to lead project teams on selected projects.
- Proficient in the use Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and organization skills with a positive attitude, and eagerness to learn.
- Desire to solve challenging problems and help advance our clients.
- Studies, reports, design and construction of water distribution systems, sewage collection, storage facilities, control vaults, pumping stations, booster stations, water and wastewater treatment, stormwater systems, and green infrastructure.
- Collaborative team-minded values.
- Licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Michigan.
Preferred Qualifications
- MDOT experience is a plus.
- Experience or familiarity working with GIS, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, and/or hydraulic and hydrology design programs such as EPA-SWMM, H2O-Map, Infowater, HEC-HMS or HEC-RAS preferred.
