JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary Regal Boats is seeking an experienced HRIS (UKG) Analyst to lead our payroll processes through UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) and drive continuous improvement in our HR systems. This role is responsible for overseeing company-wide payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely payroll execution, and optimizing the UKG system for all payroll and HR-related functionalities. The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of UKG, a proven ability to improve processes, and a strong understanding of payroll compliance.

  1. Lead and oversee the payroll process for the entire organization through the UKG system, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing for all employees.
  2. Manage UKG system configurations related to payroll, benefits, timekeeping, and employee data, ensuring all data is accurate and up-to-date.
  3. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll regulations, leveraging UKG's capabilities to automate compliance functions.
  4. Optimize the use of UKG modules, including payroll, benefits, and time and attendance, to improve efficiency and streamline payroll processes.
  5. Act as the main point of contact for all payroll-related inquiries, resolving issues and discrepancies by working with HR, finance, and other stakeholders.
  6. Lead efforts to implement system updates and enhancements, ensuring new functionalities align with payroll and HR operational goals.
  7. Generate, analyze, and present payroll reports using UKG to support decision-making, ensuring accuracy in payroll data for audits and financial reporting.
  8. Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure seamless integration between payroll, benefits administration, and timekeeping modules in UKG.
  9. Ensure payroll deductions, benefits contributions, and tax calculations are accurate and in compliance with all regulations through UKG's automated tools.
  10. Train HR and payroll staff on best practices within UKG and ensure they are fully capable of utilizing all relevant system features.
  11. Monitor system performance and proactively identify areas for improvement or potential issues within the UKG platform, especially related to payroll processing.
  12. Manage third-party vendor relationships that integrate with UKG for payroll, benefits, and compliance purposes.
  13. Conduct regular audits of payroll data and system configurations to ensure accuracy, security, and compliance within the UKG environment.
  14. Stay updated on UKG product updates, payroll regulations, and industry trends to implement best practices and ensure system optimization.
  15. Perform other related duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications

  1. Expert-level experience with UKG, including leading payroll processing and optimizing HRIS functionalities.
  2. Proven track record of overseeing payroll operations for a medium to large-sized organization, ideally through UKG.
  3. AA or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field.
  4. Advanced knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations, with experience using HRIS systems to automate compliance.
  5. Strong understanding of payroll systems, tax compliance, and benefits administration using HRIS tools.
  6. Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements through HRIS/UKG optimizations.
  7. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
  8. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot system and payroll issues effectively.
  9. High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality in handling payroll and employee data.
  10. Excellent communication skills to work cross-functionally with HR, finance, IT, and third-party vendors.
  11. At least 3-5 years of experience in a payroll or HRIS leadership role, specifically with UKG or similar HRIS platforms.


Preferred Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Accounting, or related field.
  2. SHRM-CP, CPP, or other relevant HR or payroll certifications.
  3. Previous experience in payroll management within the manufacturing industry.
  4. Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.


Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a professional office environment. It is a fully onsite role, five days a week, and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods of time. The employee must frequently go into non climate-controlled manufacturing facilities to connect with and assist management and team members with HR-related issues. The employee is occasionally required to lift to 15 pounds.
