Job Overview

The Nurse Director will oversee the clinical operations of our Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU), Detoxification Unit, and Residential Facility. This role is crucial in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care, maintaining regulatory compliance, and fostering a collaborative environment among the nursing staff. The Nurse Director will be responsible for managing nursing teams, developing and implementing policies, and coordinating with other departments to provide comprehensive patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate all nursing activities within the CSU, Detox, and Residential Facility.
  • Ensure the delivery of evidence-based, patient-centered care in accordance with established standards and best practices.
  • Monitor patient care processes, outcomes, and compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
  • Lead, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff, including recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and professional development.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient care and staff performance.
  • Address and resolve staff and patient issues promptly and effectively.
  • Create, review, and update nursing policies and procedures to ensure they meet regulatory standards and best practices.
  • Implement quality improvement initiatives and monitor their effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, social workers, and administrative staff, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Facilitate effective communication between nursing staff, patients, and families to support treatment plans and patient needs.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and accreditation standards.
  • Prepare for and facilitate regulatory inspections and audits.
  • Oversee the management of nursing resources, including staffing levels, equipment, and supplies, to ensure optimal operational efficiency.
  • Develop and manage the nursing budget, including expenditures related to staffing, training, and supplies.
  • Analyze clinical data and outcomes to identify trends, areas for improvement, and necessary interventions.
  • Prepare and present reports on nursing operations, patient outcomes, and quality improvement initiatives to senior management.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in nursing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role within a similar setting.
  • Experience in Crisis Stabilization, Detoxification, and Residential facilities preferred.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and guide a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of clinical best practices, regulatory standards, and quality improvement processes.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, budgeting, and resource management.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and be on-call as needed.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
