The V2X Mobile Sensors (MS) program performs Operations and Maintenance (O&M) for a ship based marine mobile platform with complex multi-mission radar and communication systems which have a sophisticated command & control computing structure, along with communication interfaces and support sub-systems. These systems and the program assigned employees, which include represented members (union), are tasked to primarily operate in the Pacific Command's (PACOM) Area of Responsibility (AOR). Our program ensures the COBRA KING (CK) radar and communication systems are ready for operation 24-hours a day for 7-days a week and can support mission operations on very short notice.
The Mobile Sensors Management Office (MSMO) is seeking a RF Radar System Sustainment Engineer to be the technical expert for all aspects relating to CK Radar System Sustaining Engineering requirements and other projects assigned to the benefit of the MSMO. This role will primarily work at the program office located on Patrick Space Force Base (PSFB), FL working with our program Engineer Lead, facilitating collaboration with Key Subcontractors, the Customer Team, Program and Functional Support team members, and is a direct report to the Mobile Sensors Program Manager.
This position requires some travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations for an estimated annual rate of 15%.

The Mobile Sensors Management Office (MSMO) is seeking a RF Radar System Sustainment Engineer to be the technical expert for all aspects relating to CK Radar System Sustaining Engineering requirements and other projects assigned to the benefit of the MSMO. Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as the MS CK Radar System Sustainment Subject Matter Expert (SME) to ensure all related technical issues are documented and addressed as quickly and effectively as possible.
- MSMO Point of Contact (POC) for Radar System challenges that cannot be resolved by onboard Radar Operators; support all troubleshooting, generate After Action Reports (AAR) post resolution.
- Serve as the primary Technical Liaison between MSMO and suppliers for CK Radar Sustainment. Remains connected to the needs of CK systems and personnel who operate/maintain the platform.
- Lead and oversee all team efforts to document/track to completion all preventive and corrective maintenance to Radar.
- Main contributor to the MS Configuration Management Process; heavily involved in Configuration Change Requests (CCR) progression.
- Leads Return Material Authorization (RMA) activities, ensuring hardware gets repaired or replaced.
- Analyze engineering proposals, generate technical evaluations, and be able to produce sole source justification documentation in support of program subcontracting and material procurements.
- Analyzes equipment failures to determine root cause and recommends corrective actions to company or customer representatives to coordinate solutions.
- Review field support requirements, handbooks for technical adequacy, and engineering drawings and related documents.
- Lead program engineering symposium with customer program office and select Radar OEM Engineers to discuss system issues/challenges, requirements of updates, upcoming hardware/software, possible DMS issues and other related topics to the quality/welfare of our Radars.
- Participates in V2X New Business Initiatives (NBI) /proposal activities.
- Other duties as assigned within the MSMO and supporting CK
Job Qualifications:
- Active Secret clearance or higher required.
- Working knowledge of multiple engineering disciplines with a strong focus RF systems, hardware, and software development.
- Must be proactive in the mitigation of system challenges and issues.
- Advanced communication, writing, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated involvement in continuous process improvement efforts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experienced with Microsoft Office suite of tools.
- Current U.S. Passport with a minimum of 1 year prior to expiration and 3 blank pages
- When required, must be willing and able to be deployed onboard a naval vessel, in the role of Radar Engineer; not to exceed 60 days at sea.
- Able to pass a mariner's physical exam on an in accordance with our PWS if required by the Program Office.
Education Requirements:
- Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience.
