US Citizenship is required for this role. In addition, the selected applicant must submit to a government background investigation and be favorably adjudicated before their first day.

This hybrid position will require periodic client-site work. Applicants must reside within a commutable distance of Washington, D.C.

The Privacy Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and translating complex data into information that is accessible. Identifies trends and patterns to help organizations make better business decisions and improve performance. He/She will be focused on identifying Personally Identifiable Information (PII) elements across the organization's systems and documenting them in detail. The Privacy Analyst will assess business policies, procedures, and operations to meet privacy requirements and government regulations for protecting critical information. In addition to conducting analysis, they will create strategies for improvement and help develop training or educational materials to support effective management for privacy protection and risk mitigation related to the unauthorized access of sensitive information.

The Privacy Analyst will work in a high-profile agency in the Executive Branch, at the very center of government management. Superior communication skills, strong knowledge of the legal aspects of federal privacy regulations, the ability to quantitatively and qualitatively identify information technology (IT) privacy related data, and great attention to detail are necessary for this role. The ideal candidate is someone who is eager and possesses a strong work ethic as they will be expected to excel in a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conduct privacy risk assessments and resolve privacy violation crises.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy and protection regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and NIST.
  • Answer queries regarding global data privacy processing and protection requirements from internal stakeholders.
  • Educate personnel through privacy training and maintain workplace privacy standards.
  • Develop and implement privacy policy improvements and processes.
  • Conduct compliance gap analyses and readiness assessments for upcoming policy changes.
  • Create and maintain documentation, including privacy notices, privacy statements, SOPs, and guidance notes in collaboration with legal teams.
  • Manage the Data Subject Request process, ensuring timely and compliant responses.
  • Collect and maintain records of processing activities and prepare reports on regulatory compliance.
  • Prepare and deliver reports on privacy analyses and escalate potential data breaches for investigation and resolution.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience
  • Strong knowledge of legal aspects of privacy regulations relevant to the industry.
  • Proficient in compliance management platforms such as TrutArc or OneTrust.
  • Experience conducting compliance gap analysis and readiness assessments.
  • Ability to track and analyze data through its lifecycle using relevant tools.
  • Excellent communication and training skills for educating personnel on privacy protection.
PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
  • Experience with Data Protection Impact Assessments and Data Subject Requests.
  • Background in business process engineering or compliance analysis.
  • Familiarity with a wide range of global and local data privacy and protection regulations.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess business operations and recommend strategic improvements.
  • Relevant certifications in data privacy or compliance (e.g., CIPP, CIPM).
EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Database Administration, or a similar computer-related field.

Internal title/grade: Policy Analyst 6
Salary Range: $93,400 - $100,000

All individuals being hired to work for TCG must submit to, and successfully pass, a pre-employment background investigation prior to reporting for their first day of work. The pre-employment background investigation will include verification of employment and education, as well as, a criminal and DMV check.

Additional documentation and background checks will also be required for positions that require clearance from the Federal government.
