Who we are looking for:
We are seeking an experienced Paid Media Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, and optimizing paid media campaigns across various platforms to drive brand visibility, user engagement, and conversion. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in paid media, a deep understanding of digital advertising, and the ability to analyze and interpret data to inform campaign decisions.

Base salary - US wide $80,949.96 to $171,399.15
The stated pay scale reflects the range that Slate reasonably expects to pay for this position. The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant's years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices. In addition to base pay, Slate also offers short-term and long-term incentive programs - 401k match, annual bonus and company equity, based on eligibility, along with a robust offering of benefit and wellness plans, HSA/FSA.

Who we are looking for:
We are seeking an experienced Paid Media Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, and optimizing paid media campaigns across various platforms to drive brand visibility, user engagement, and conversion. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in paid media, a deep understanding of digital advertising, and the ability to analyze and interpret data to inform campaign decisions.
What you get to do:
- Develop and execute comprehensive national, regional, and local paid media strategies aligned with overall marketing and business goals.
- Manage and optimize paid campaigns across platforms such as Google Ads, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other relevant channels.
- Manage scoping and negotiation with paid media agency in partnership with Growth Marketing Director and CMO.
- Brief-in and create a compelling case for creative and visual assets in collaboration with the creative team.
- Lead a team that proactively monitors and responds to campaign performance, analyzes key metrics, and generates regular reports with actionable insights.
- Thought leadership in industry trends, emerging platforms, and the latest developments in paid media.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, content, and analytics, to ensure cohesive and integrated campaigns.
- Utilize A/B testing and other optimization techniques to continuously improve campaign performance.
- Manage budgets effectively, allocate resources efficiently, and optimize spending to achieve desired results.
- Stay abreast of changes in algorithms, policies, and best practices on various advertising platforms.
What you bring to the team:
- Bachelor's degree or experience in marketing, advertising, or a related field.
- 10+ years experience as a Paid Media Lead or in a similar role, with a demonstrable track record of successful campaign management, creation, and optimization
- In-depth knowledge of paid media platforms, including Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, and LinkedIn Ads.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using analytics tools to derive actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams.
- Certifications in relevant platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Blueprint) is a plus.
- Experience with e-commerce or lead generation campaigns is highly desirable.
- Must love cars! You'll be thinking about cars all day every day, and it's the most fun when you love cars.
