Description

Overall Responsibility: We are looking for a Structural Development Project Engineer to join our team. Responsibilities include technical management and oversight for existing or new projects, acting as client/Company liaison to represent the Company's interests and simultaneously maintain good relationships with clients.

Essential Functions:
  • Manages and coordinates design and construction phase services for Structural projects both with internal staff resources and with external subconsultants, subcontractors, clients and stakeholders.
  • Responsible for ensuring that Structural deliverables, schedules, and budgets are achieved.
  • Initiates, manages, and completes project documents including details scope, outline, budget and schedule for completion.
  • Perform professional Structural engineering work and assist with conducting site investigations and inspections to determine existing conditions, verify conformance with construction documents.
  • Identifies needed internal and external project resources and works with Corporate Practice Leads to assigns team members.
  • Ensures all procedures and steps are in accordance with Company standards.
  • Acts as client/Company liaison, keeping both appropriately informed of project status.
  • Represents Company at project meetings.
  • Communicates project changes and/or variation information appropriately.
  • Supervises the work of other staff when assigned.
  • Consults and coordinates with Supervisor and other senior management members at regularly scheduled meetings to review status of active and future projects.
  • Assist Program and Project Managers with scope and fee development.
  • Work with cross-functional teams in executing project work.


Secondary Functions:
  • Duties as assigned by Supervisor and other senior management members.


Qualifications

Education/Experience Minimum:
  • Experience with building modeling, structural analysis, conducting condition assessments, and designing concrete, steel, timber and masonry structures.
  • BS or MS in Civil Engineering, or related four-year degree or professional registration (PE/CCM/PMP) in engineering or construction management
  • Demonstrative progressive growth in Structural development engineering and construction experience/knowledge with 10+ years industry experience / 3-5 years project management experience.
  • Valid state driver's license (any in US).
  • Ability to work in US.
  • Ability to meet worksite security requirements including state and federal background checks.
