Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking an experienced surgical leader to take on the role as Regional Medical Director of Oncology for Jersey Shore University Medical Center and the Southern Region of HMH in New Jersey and Regional Director of Surgical Oncology at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, NJ. The successful candidate will lead the development and execution of strategic initiatives within the Surgical Oncology Department in the Southern Region of HMH which includes Jersey Shore University Medical Center (Neptune), Ocean University Medical Center (Brick), Southern Ocean Medical Center (Manahawkin) and Riverview Medical Center (Red Bank) while also overseeing clinical operations of Surgical Oncology and ensuring quality patient care and fostering a collaborative environment at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. Regional Responsibilities
- Oversee professional and administrative activities within the department of surgical oncology, including ensuring quality patient care, implementing departmental programs, providing guidance on policies, monitoring professional performance, and effectively communicating with multidisciplinary team members.
- Provide administrative leadership in developing and monitoring departmental budgets, and implementing business and quality improvement plans.
- Actively participate in relevant committees and programs, including the Oncology Steering Committee and Cancer
- Committee, contributing to the overall advancement of healthcare services.
- Ensure high standards of care through collaboration with physicians, leaders, and clinical professionals.
- Collaborate with leadership to review services, formulate strategic plans and align regional strategy.
- Contribute to the further development of education programs including coordinating continuing medical education programs, participating in teaching residents and medical students, facilitating faculty development, coordinating educational outreach programs and developing procedures for clinical research participation.
- Lead the clinical operations within the department, by ensuring quality patient care through departmental program implementation, policy development and enhancing collaborative communication amongst a dynamic team.
- Assist with the development and execution of strategic initiatives to ensure a continuous drive for innovation in healthcare delivery.
- Cultivate a professional and patient-centered care environment that places a high priority on clinical excellence.
- Actively participate in relevant committees and programs, including the Oncology Steering Committee and Cancer Committee.
OPPORTUNITY REQUIREMENTS:
- M.D./D.O. degree from a recognized Medical or Osteopathic School
- Certification by the appropriate Board and subspecialty board
- Have or have the ability to obtain a New Jersey Medical License
- Several years of clinical, academic, and proven successful leadership experience
